The dream of a house
I know that there is another room in the house, an extension or another flat. A place I've never been before. My goal is always to find this place. Sometimes I find the way there on my own. Sometimes someone shows me.

Once it was paradisiacally beautiful there. Breezy and warm. There were rippling fountains and a pavilion on a terrace that led directly into the sky.
Once I found a small attic room where a man lived with his son. I didn't know them.

Once, after going up and down countless flights of stairs, I arrived in a spacious attic with lots of old furniture and wood scraps. I imagined setting up a nice study there.
Once I reached a huge extension, which consisted of an endless corridor with velvet-covered walls. Doors, behind them: endless parlours, endless halls.

What always remains the same: as soon as I get there, it throws me back to the starting point and I can't manage to find my way to this place again. I try everything, get lost, ask people, desperately want to get back there.
Until I wake up exhausted at some point.
