3. The Library

Research + Exhibition Bork (2020 – ongoing)
The tree parts themselves remain unchanged and are exhibited in a manner appropriate to a museum aesthetic. Taken from the chaos of the forest, they are organised, numbered and clearly placed. The work acquires its meaning through the orderly staging and recontextualisation.

Visitors to the library are allowed to touch the objects, as certain parts have several intriguing signs and can only be viewed in full by turning and touching them. They should be encouraged to try to decipher them themselves. Perhaps one of the visitors can decipher a symbol? Interaction with the objects and exchange with the initiator, in writing or verbally, is therefore encouraged.
